Opensity Solutions operates a fast-paced cafe inside a Los Angeles law firm, hiring baristas to prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages and pastries while delivering friendly customer service. Location: Los Angeles, CA; Pay: 25-27.50 per hour; Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities include greeting guests, crafting espresso drinks, keeping grinders dialed in, cleaning and restocking, and following health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience preferred.
• Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and basic sanitation regulations.
• Strong communication, active listening, patience during morning rushes, and a passion for hospitality.

• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, answer questions, offer recommendations, and handle special requests.
• Beverage Preparation and Pastries: Craft espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and blended beverages following exact recipes and quality standards. Serve pastries or snacks to guests.
• Equipment Operations: Dial in coffee grinders, pull espresso shots, steam milk, and clean or backflush machines daily.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean workspace, wipe down counters and seating areas, restock supplies (cups, lids, milk, syrups), and follow health and safety regulations.

Job Description

Our Baristas prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages and pastries while delivering friendly customer service in a fast‑paced cafe in a law firm environment.

Location: Los Angeles, CA Pay: 25-27.50 Schedule: Monday to Friday 730a.m to 430p.m

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, answer questions, offer recommendations, and handle special requests.
• Beverage Preparation and Pastries: Craft espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and blended beverages following exact recipes and quality standards. Serve pastries or snacks to guests.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: Previous barista experience is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, and basic sanitation regulations.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, active listening, patience during morning rushes, and a passion for hospitality.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs as needed. Ability to push, pull, or carry items using wheeled carts with loads up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

The Compensation range for this role is 24.50 to 27.50 USD per hour. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
