Description

Essential functions

  • Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel, and live the mission of always providing exceptional service.
  • Prepare and serve brewed coffee and mixed coffee drinks like cappuccino and espresso, and kiosk food items according to established recipes and procedures, notifying appropriate team members when assistance is necessary.
  • Retrieve, prepare, and stock coffee kiosk food items.
  • Ensure kiosk area is maintained in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner using approved cleaning agents, sanitation regulations, and department procedures.
  • Accept cash, credit cards, or complimentary vouchers as payment.
  • Demonstrate an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by reporting supervisor, including cross training.

Additional responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/casino industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, especially during weekends, holidays, events, and peak seasons. There is an expectation of being scheduled on duty and/or on-call during these times.

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance; uniforms must be clean and pressed if required.
  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Follow procedures carefully, ensuring accuracy and monitoring processes.
  • Actively listen to guests and team members.
  • Deliver high levels of service, handle service failures, and prioritize guest needs.
  • Prepare for known problems and opportunities, undertake additional responsibilities, and respond proactively.
  • Use tact, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment.
  • Adapt behavior to different styles, work with diverse backgrounds, and handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Share credit, promote teamwork, and support group decisions.
  • Operate department equipment like espresso machines, POS systems, and telephones.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities. The environment involves exposure to foods, chemicals, latex, environmental smoke, and variable noise and lighting conditions. Candidates must pass background checks, drug tests, and obtain an Oklahoma food handler card.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in beverage service, preferably as a barista.
  • Knowledge of safe coffee preparation, POS systems, sanitation, and cash handling.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
