Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking an entry-level team member to provide guests with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and a clean, comfortable environment at our Houston property.

We operate 24/7, so shifts vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Prior experience is not required; strong communication and customer service skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Flexible hours may include mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• Meet store operating policies including cash handling and safety and security.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains calm demeanor during high volume periods and sets a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
• Communicates information to the manager so the team can respond as necessary.
• Delivers Legendary customer service by putting the customer first and connecting with them.
• Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Follows policies for cash handling, safety and security to ensure partner safety.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace for team resources and products.
• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products following recipes and presentation standards.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

Essential Job Functions

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
• Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary.
• Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer.
• Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• No previous experience required.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Lifting Fifty (30) pounds maximum.
• Constant standing & walking required.
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
