Canopy by Hilton Southpark

The Barista will create, prepare, and serve specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages, either hot or cold. The Barista will educate guests on the drink menu and make recommendations based on their preferences. This role requires excellent service skills and knowledge of brewing equipment. The goal is to ensure an excellent drinking experience for all guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, customizing orders as requested.
  2. Describe product details to guests.
  3. Receive and process payments accurately.
  4. Ensure service stations are properly stocked with paper products and beverage preparation items.
  5. Clean and sanitize all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
  6. Check and maintain proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment; report issues to management.
  7. Stock supplies or retail products.
  8. Manage inventory, and order or receive products as directed.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40+ pounds.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
  4. Good memory for managing multiple orders and recalling guest preferences.
  5. Ability to serve customers efficiently, quickly, and kindly.
  6. Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Strong time management and proactive attitude.
  8. Organizational skills.
