Qualifications

• Must complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service.
• Must obtain BIA food handlers’ card within 2 weeks with receipt for reimbursement from the Company.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and serves cold and hot beverages, such as sodas, coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.
• Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stocks supplies or retail products; may be asked to assist in daily inventory, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

A Barista Employee creates a welcoming environment for customers by preparing quality beverages and food items, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Baristas work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service while upholding company standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves cold and hot beverages, such as sodas, coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Education and Experience:

Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures.

Must be able to obtain (BIA) food handlers’ card within 2 weeks of employment with receipt for reimbursement from the Company

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds at times.

Must be available to work variable shifts: early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, crouch and bend throughout shift for 8.5 hours a day
