Job summary

JAVA PLUS II LLC is hiring a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, educate guests on the drinks menu, and make recommendations based on preferences. You will up-sell items, take orders, and ensure an excellent guest experience across various shifts.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking detailed orders, preparing beverages, handling payments, and keeping the bar area clean and compliant with health and safety standards. prior experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred as a Barista but not required.
• Customer service mindset with guest-friendly approach.
• Basic knowledge of brewing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter and present drink menus.
• Take orders accurately and note preferences (coffee blends, dairy, sugar).
• Prepare beverages following recipes and maintain quality standards.
• Process payments (cash and card) smoothly.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized; stock mugs and utensils.
• Ensure brewing equipment operates properly and report maintenance needs.
• Follow health and safety regulations and ensure guest satisfaction.

Job description

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating guests on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have guest service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly pay and tips. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter
• Give guests drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare beverages following recipes
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area clean
• Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate guest feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
