Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality in Brighton, MA is seeking a Barista to assist customers at checkout, handle cash and card payments, and educate guests while preparing and serving a variety of coffee and beverages.

This full-time position runs Mon-Fri with hours as listed and offers an hourly pay rate of $23.00–$25.00 and weekly direct deposit. Previous barista or food-service experience and strong customer service skills are encouraged to apply, with growth opportunities within our hospitality programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers at checkout.
• Operate POS system and process payments by cash, credit, or vouchers.
• Prepare or serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee and espresso drinks.
• Replenish snacks and stock coolers as needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout and coffee kiosk areas.
• Work with and take direction from the Chef Manager.

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for assisting customers during the check-out process managing cash and credit payments as well as educating customers while selling and grinding coffee and preparing and serving a variety of items. In addition, the Barista will be responsible for replenishing snacks and coolers and keeping the area clean.

Essential Functions And Key Tasks

• Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
• Operation of point of sale system; Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
• Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas
• Replenish snacks and stock coolers as needed
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout and coffee kiosk areas and complete other general cleaning duties
• Assist customers by providing information
• Work with and take direction from the Chef Manager
