Job summary

Care New England Medical Group (CNEMG) seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to join its Bariatric surgical team at Kent Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital. The role combines inpatient/outpatient duties with a collaborative department and a focus on quality care within an EPIC environment.

The ideal candidate has prior surgical experience, with robotic bariatric surgery knowledge preferred, and is committed to a daytime, five-day schedule in a supportive, team-oriented practice.

Qualifications

• Prior surgical experience required.
• Knowledge of robotic bariatric surgery preferred.
• Full-time, daytime schedule with Monday–Friday availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bariatric and general surgery cases.
• Provide hospital care for bariatric/general surgery patients.
• Support outpatient office visits and clinic workflows.
• Maintain accreditation standards and participate in quality improvement projects.

Bariatric Surgical Physician Assistant Opportunity Highlights

• Full-time, Monday through Friday daytime schedule; p prior surgical experience required, knowledge of robotic bariatric surgery preferred
• Be a valued member of the accredited Bariatric inpatient/surgical and outpatient team supporting the department with duties including:
  a) surgical assist in bariatric and general cases
  b) hospital care of bariatric/general surgery patients
  c) supporting office clinical efforts and outpatient office visits

d) maintaining accreditation standards and assisting with quality improvement projects

• Work alongside experienced, reputable, collegial group of physicians and advanced practice providers (APP)
• Regular mentorship and collaboration amongst providers
• EPIC implemented system wide
