Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Bariatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join the Bariatric Surgery team at Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. The role blends clinic and hospital responsibilities with no call or weekend requirements, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

The APP will perform pre/post-operative assessments, participate in treatment planning, and conduct in-office procedures including wound assessments and lap band fills, under the supervision of a BC Bariatric/General Surgeon.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Acute Care specialization (ACNP) or PA degree required.
• At least 1 year APP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to bariatric candidates and patients, including pre/post-operative assessment.
• Participate in treatment planning, patient counseling, and monthly office visits.

Opportunity Details

Position Details Include

• Join a growing Bariatric Surgery team with a BC Bariatric/General Surgeon and dedicated support staff
• Blend of clinic and hospital responsibilities
• No call or weekend responsibilities
• Schedule will be Mon - Fri from 8 AM - 4:30 PM.
• The Bariatric Surgery APP will be responsible for the delivery of care to bariatric candidates and patients as well as pre/post-operative assessment and responsibilities
• Be a part of patient treatment planning, counseling, and monthly office visits to review progress.
• In-office procedures include wound assessment and lap band fills

Educational/Experience Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing with Acute Care specialty (ACNP) or Physician Assistant
• At least 1 year of APP experience required

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure/physician assistantlicensure

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $60.72 - $78.94/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
