Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Jackson, MS is seeking a Bariatric Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives while practicing debridement and bedside procedures. This role offers a no-call lifestyle with weekday hours and the opportunity to work as a wound care physician in SNFs across the area.

You will need an MD or DO, unrestricted MS license (or eligibility), and a DEA license (or eligibility). No prior wound care experience is required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic wounds and non-healing wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and wound care protocols.
• Collaborate with facilities and post-acute teams to follow patients through healing.
