Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Bariatric department at the Olympia Fields location. The role supports physicians with patient care, manages clerical and environmental tasks, and enhances patient flow through effective chart handling and scheduling.

The ideal candidate will hold a Medical Assistant Certification, a current BLS certificate, and have experience in healthcare settings with strong patient-facing skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of public-facing work experience.
• Work experience in health care preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy certification or competency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the organization.
