Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL seeks a Bariatric Program Coordinator (RN or Clinical Dietitian) to lead our accredited bariatric surgery program and guide patients through their weight-loss journey.

You will work with surgeons, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional outcomes, education, care coordination, and compliance with MBSAQIP standards.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license or Illinois Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) required
• RN background or Dietitian background with MBSAQIP exposure preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the bariatric surgery program and ensure excellent patient experience
• Coordinate referrals, testing, follow-ups, and education across the care team
• Educate patients and families on bariatric options, nutrition, and lifestyle changes
• Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and documentation in the EMR
• Collaborate with surgeons, providers, dietitians, and behavioral health professionals
