Job summary

Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel is seeking a Barge Mounted Excavator Operator to operate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on barge-mounted equipment, primarily placing rock from barges along Inland waterways.

The role requires three years of heavy equipment experience, outdoor work in extreme weather, long shifts, and strong communication with crew; safety participation and on-boarding processes apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of heavy equipment operator experience (min 80,000 lb).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate barge-mounted excavator and related heavy equipment.
• Place rock from barges along Inland waterways, including the Mississippi River.
• Maintain safety and communicate hazards to supervisors and crew.
• Participate in safety meetings and assist in Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
