The ideal candidate holds a California barber or cosmetology license, has strong communication, punctuality, and a team spirit, and is available for weekends and peak hours in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current California Barber or Cosmetology license.
• Experience with men’s haircuts, fades, scissor work, beard grooming, and styling.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality men’s haircuts, fades, scissor cuts, styling, beard trims, and grooming services.
• Conduct a professional consultation before each service.
• Recommend styles and services based on guest preferences, hair type, lifestyle, and maintenance needs.
• Deliver a luxury guest experience from consultation through checkout.
• Educate guests about home-care and grooming products.
• Encourage guests to rebook their next appointment.
• Introduce membership options when appropriate and explain benefits.
• Maintain detailed guest notes including preferences and service history.
• Follow sanitation, disinfection, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Keep station, tools, treatment areas, and shared spaces clean and organized.
• Arrive on time and be prepared before the scheduled shift.
• Follow opening/closing, laundry, inventory, and other duties.
• Participate in training, team meetings, promotions, events, and reviews.
• Support coworkers to maintain a respectful, professional workplace.

Hammer & Nails Studio City is seeking a talented, professional, and guest-focused licensed Barber or Hairstylist to join our team.

We provide premium men’s grooming services in an upscale, relaxing environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates well with guests, supports the team, and is motivated to build a loyal clientele through excellent service, rebooking, memberships, and product recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality men’s haircuts, fades, scissor cuts, styling, beard trims, and grooming services.
• Conduct a professional consultation before each service.
