Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Henderson, NV is seeking a bar/back-of-house team member to provide prompt, courteous service at the bar, assist bartenders, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while upholding quality standards. You will follow hospitality standards, maintain cleanliness, stock supplies, and greet guests.

The role requires 21+, 6 months bar/restaurant experience, strong communication, basic math, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of six months of previous experience in a bar, lounge, or full-service restaurant environment
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with company policies and departmental procedures
• Basic math skills for routine calculations and inventory tracking
• Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments
• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous service to guests while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the bar
• Support bartenders by ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages, in alignment with established quality standards
• Follow company hospitality standards, including making eye contact, smiling, and greeting guests with appropriate and respectful language
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks such as clearing tables, transporting dishes to the kitchen, and restocking beer, wine, ice, and other supplies
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness in all bar service areas
• Replace kegs, beer tanks, CO2 tanks, and soda systems as needed
• Retrieve clean glassware from dishwashing areas and return empty kegs to designated storage or purchasing locations
• Ensure all bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift
• Make an effort to learn and use guest names to personalize service
• Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance and wear the authorized company-issued uniform in accordance with dress code standards
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members
