Job summary

World Equestrian Center Ocala is seeking a Barback for the Yellow Pony to support PM shift operations. The Barback assists bartenders, restocks garnishes, glassware, ice, and maintains cleanliness, while helping with service flow and guest questions.

Primary duties include opening/closing duties, inventory checks, keeping the bar stocked, assisting with orders and payments, and ensuring proper storage. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and meet age requirements to serve alcohol.

Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
TIPs certification preferred.
Basic math and computer skills.
Knowledge of proper service etiquette and standards.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.

Responsibilities

Assist with opening and closing duties, restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware.
Keep the bar stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer; check taps and equipment; replace kegs as needed.
Maintain bar cleanliness, wipe surfaces, sweep, mop, and manage storage and trash.
Know menu items and cocktail recipes; assist in taking orders and processing payments.
Communicate with guests, answer questions, and handle concerns or complaints.
