Job summary

Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. seeks a Barback to support bartenders in our high-volume music venues. You will stock, clean, and maintain the bar area, assist with inventory, and ensure smooth service during peak hours.

Ideal candidates are fast, friendly, and safety-minded, able to handle alcohol service responsibly and work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a live music setting. Training in sanitation and health requirements is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Working in restaurant/bar/live music environments with high noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.

• Perform defined opening, running, and closing duties.
• Comply with bar weekly deep cleaning schedule; manage trash and recyclables.
• Attend pre-shift meetings; stay informed of menu items and descriptions.
• Communicate daily entertainment and upcoming events in venue.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and company policies.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized; wash glassware and maintain cleanliness.
• Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies.
• Report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

As a Barback in our legendary music and entertainment venues, you'll be the behind-the-scenes herowho keeps the bar running smoothly so our bartenders can shine. You'll stock and clean the bar andperform related tasks to increase the efficiency and productivity of the bartending team in a high-volume, music-fueled environment. As the ideal candidate, you're fast, friendly, and focused, understanding that in a venue with this much musical history, every shift is about delivering unforgettable experiences!

• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Restock ice bins, beverages, kegs, plasticware, etc.,
• Keep all beverage storage areas clean and organized at all times. Assist with inventory, product rotation (FIFO), and date labeling to ensure fresh products are readily available for preparation.
• Perform defined opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
• Comply with bar weekly deep cleaning schedule. Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles. Make sure trash receptacles are clean and odor-free.
• Attend pre-shift meetings. Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions.
• Communicate daily entertainment and upcoming events in venue.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, alcohol awareness training and company policies.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized, including washing glassware, bussing bar top, clearing bar and service bar, cleaning spills, and floor and guest facing areas clear of debris.
• Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies in both public areas and back of house.
• Comply with all company issued steps of service. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
Speak, hear, and use non-verbal cues to communicate. Stand and walk for extended periods, including
on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Walk up and down stairs while navigating the venue.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and frequently sit, kneel, bend, and reach to move goods. Manual
dexterity for tasks such such as handling dishes.

Working Conditions
Restaurant/bar/live music environments, subject to both kitchen and customer areas, with large crowds
and elevated noise levels.
