Job summary

Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, CA is seeking a Barback for The Revere Room to support bartenders and the bar program. You will ensure bar areas are stocked, garnishes prepared, juices and syrups batches made, and pre-batched cocktails prepared per recipes.

Maintain cleanliness and bar par levels throughout shifts. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work a fast-paced bar environment while upholding Rosewood standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid Food Handler Certification.
• Must have a current and valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification and ABC Server ID.
• Minimum 21 years of age to pour alcoholic beverages.
• Experience: Hotel operational exposure (i.e., F&B) preferred.
• Experience with a luxury or ultra-luxury property or brand preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open bar: clock in, wipe bar, set up bar area and utensils, restock inventory.
• Prepare garnishes, fresh juices, syrups, and shrubs according to recipes.
• Pre-batch cocktails for all bars and outlets per standard recipes.
• Restock glassware, check ice machines, and ensure sanitation levels.
• Shift service: support bartenders, refill stock, replenish garnishes and maintain cleanliness.
• Close duties: remove dirty items, wrap leftovers, restock and clock out, log issues.
• Maintain guest-facing hospitality and confidentiality.
