Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Barback to support the bar and Food & Beverage team in Atlanta. You will help with stocking, cleaning, and organizing the bar and assist bartenders to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

The role requires flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $10.00 per hour plus tips, reflecting the fast-paced hospitality environment of a luxury hotel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with daily bar setup, service, and closing procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies.
• Replenish products and supplies throughout service to prevent interruptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, bar area, storage areas, and equipment.
• Wash, polish, and restock glassware as needed.
• Assist with preparation of garnishes, juices, and other bar items.
• Collect and remove empty bottles, glassware, trash, and other items from the bar area.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating beverage products.
• Support bartenders during high-volume periods to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or product needs to the bartender or supervisor.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and hotel procedures.
• Assist with maintaining proper bar presentation and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests when appropriate.
• Respond promptly to requests from bartenders, supervisors, and other Food & Beverage colleagues.
• Follow all IHG and InterContinental brand standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
