Job summary

Motek, part of the Happy Corner Hospitality collective, is a Mediterranean concept restaurant seeking a Barback to support bartenders and keep the bar running smoothly during busy shifts.

You will help stock, clean, and prep garnishes, handle batches, and follow food safety protocols. The role requires at least 1 year in a barback position, strong teamwork, and flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant; minimum 1 year in a barback role.
• Basic understanding of food handling and safety practices.
• Basic liquor/wine knowledge highly preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare non-alcoholic beverages for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness in bar area and restaurant.
• Restock and replenish bar items as needed.
• Assist with stocking bar, ensuring batches are always fresh, and slicing garnishes.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment by communicating effectively and supporting team members.
