Job summary

The Longboard Sullivan’s Island is seeking a Barback to support our vibrant bar program and busy service environment. You will help keep wells stocked, ice and garnishes ready, and assist bartenders while delivering warm, guest-focused service.

Echoing the island vibes of our flagship, the Sullivan’s Island location offers refined, seafood-forward fare alongside a vibrant bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired craft cocktails. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Deliver high-energy, intuitive, and genuinely warm service that elevates the guest experience and keeps people coming back
• Own the backstage operations. Act as the ultimate bar ally by keeping the wells loaded with ice, stations stocked, glassware polished, bottles filled, and bar tops clean.
• Participate in bar prep work as directed by the bar manager and bartenders.
• Master the art of multi-tasking; take cues from multiple team members and prioritize tasks on the fly in a high- volume environment.
• Prioritize professional, respectful, and open communication with all team members.
• Act as a crucial bridge between guests, bartenders, and management; seamlessly fielding requests and keeping the vibe smooth.
• Collaborate effortlessly with your colleagues. Support your floor team and always lend hands when needed!
• Bring high stamina and vibrant energy.
• Comfortably handle the heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) to keep the bar stocked and moving.
• Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure the satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service.
• Have the ability to recite basic menu knowledge and run food to tables if needed.
• Stay ahead of the rush. Assist the bar team in prepping garnishes, ice, and syrups so you’re never caught off guard during service.
• Keep your station dialed in - a clean bar is an efficient bar. Maintain a highly organized, clean, and polished bar throughout your shift. Take ownership of health department regulations and always keep it pristine.

• Show up to show out. Look sharp, follow the dress code, and bring your best self to every shift.
