The role requires 5+ years in billing or revenue operations, hands-on ERP/CRM experience (Stripe, Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, or Workday), and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in billing operations or revenue teams; at least 2+ in a supervisory role.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems (Stripe, Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, or Workday).
• Strong understanding of subscription revenue, AR, and revenue recognition guidelines (GAAP/IFRS).
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data modeling.
• Proven cross-functional communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing workflows, invoices, recurring subscriptions, and complex fees.
• Identify and implement order-to-cash optimizations and automated workflows.

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Billing Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end billing, invoicing, and revenue collection processes. In this role, you will lead the billing operations, ensure strict accuracy and compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, and Customer Success to drive operational efficiency and support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Billing Operations & Invoicing: Oversee the daily billing workflows, ensuring accurate, timely generation and distribution of customer invoices, recurring subscription billing, and complex custom fee structures.
• Process Optimization & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline order-to-cash processes, eliminate manual friction, and lead implementation of automated billing workflows and system integrations.
• Revenue Recognition & Compliance: Partner closely with Accounting to ensure all billing practices comply with internal controls, corporate governance, and GAAP/IFRS revenue recognition standards.
• Issue Escalation & Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for complex billing disputes, payment collection issues, and customer account reconciliations.
• Reporting & Key Metrics: Track and report on critical metrics including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), billing accuracy rates, collections efficiency, and unbilled revenue.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Legal, and Sales Operations to align contract terms, pricing models, and new product offerings with billing system capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in billing operations, order-to-cash, or revenue operations, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with enterprise billing, ERP, and CRM platforms (e.g., Stripe, Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, or Workday).
• Financial & Accounting Acumen: Strong understanding of subscription revenue models, accounts receivable (AR) management, and revenue recognition guidelines.
• Analytical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (pivot tables, data modeling, complex formulas) and experience analyzing large financial datasets.
• Communication & Leadership: Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional relationships, resolve enterprise customer disputes smoothly, and mentor operational team members.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
