Job summary

Ludico by Tribeca Hospitality Group in New York seeks an energetic Barback to support the opening beverage program. You will stock liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, and bar supplies, prep ingredients, and assist bartenders to maintain seamless service.

Qualifications

  • Previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist bartenders throughout service by anticipating operational needs and maintaining efficient workflow.
  • Stock liquor, wine, beer, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and bar supplies before, during, and after service.
  • Replenish bar stations quickly and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Prepare fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, herbs, fruit, and other cocktail ingredients according to restaurant recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar stations, coolers, storage areas, and service stations.
  • Polish glassware and bar equipment to ensure presentation standards are met.
  • Change kegs, replace CO2 tanks when trained, and assist with beverage equipment as needed.
  • Remove empty bottles, trash, and recycling throughout service.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.

Ludico is an exciting new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, bringing together fresh, vibrant, and transportive European flavors in an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

We are seeking energetic, dependable, and hospitality-driven Barbacks to join our opening team. This essential role supports the bar operation by ensuring bartenders have everything they need to deliver exceptional beverage service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong sense of urgency, and takes pride in organization, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Position Summary

The Barback plays a critical role in the success of Ludico's beverage program by maintaining bar organization, stocking products, preparing garnishes, supporting bartenders during service, and ensuring all bar stations remain fully supplied and operational throughout each shift.

This position works closely with the Beverage Manager, Head Sommelier, and Bartenders to deliver seamless, efficient, and elevated service.

Responsibilities
Bar Operations & Support
  • Assist bartenders throughout service by anticipating operational needs and maintaining efficient workflow.
  • Stock liquor, wine, beer, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and bar supplies before, during, and after service.
  • Replenish bar stations quickly and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Prepare fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, herbs, fruit, and other cocktail ingredients according to restaurant recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar stations, coolers, storage areas, and service stations.

Inventory & Organization
  • Receive and organize beverage deliveries.
  • Label, date, rotate, and properly store all beverage products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  • Maintain organized liquor storage, wine storage, and bar supply areas.
  • Notify management of low inventory, damaged products, or supply needs.
  • Assist with beverage inventory counts and stock replenishment.
Teamwork & Hospitality
  • Work collaboratively with Bartenders, Servers, Food Runners, Bussers, Sommeliers, and Managers.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong sense of urgency throughout each shift.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Support the overall guest experience by ensuring bartenders can provide efficient and attentive service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all Department of Health regulations and company sanitation standards.
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures for garnishes and fresh ingredients.
  • Maintain proper labeling, dating, storage, and temperature control of beverage products.
  • Safely operate bar equipment and use cleaning products according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
