The h.wood Group in New York City is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and ensure a seamless, luxury guest experience. You will help stock, prep garnishes, and maintain a pristine bar area to uphold our standards of service.

Ideal candidates are 21+, possess a NY Certified Food Handlers card, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This position offers growth potential within a renowned lifestyle and hospitality brand.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred.
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift, up to 8 hours, with lifting up to 30lbs.
  • Must have reliable, trustworthy, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and wash glassware.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Opening this Fall, Lady Delilah is looking for talented Barbacks to provide personalized and immaculate guest service and an elegant dining experience by anticipating and providing for all guest needs/requests. They will be responsible for making sure the bar is fully stocked, cutting garnishes, and clearing away and washing all glassware. We ask for a willingness to receive and offer direction, be solutions oriented, and encourage a hospitality driven environment. Open availability is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks.
  • Ensure that all supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down counters and tables, cleaning glassware and utensils.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar area.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • A Valid NY Certified Food Handlers card
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Previous relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred.
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
  • Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.
