Barback – Belles Beach House, Venice Beach

Pay: $17.28/hour + tips

Belles Beach House is seeking a reliable and energetic Barback to join our team. This is a key support role for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is passionate about hospitality. As a barback, you'll play an essential part in ensuring the bar is stocked, clean, and running smoothly to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Support bartenders and servers by ensuring all bar areas are fully stocked and prepped.
• Assist with the delivery of food and beverages to guests when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar environment at all times.
• Set up and break down bar stations, ensuring all supplies and tools are in place.
• Restock glassware, liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other essentials during service.
• Empty trash, break down boxes, and manage bar waste according to company procedures.
• Organize and maintain back-of-house storage, refrigeration units, and liquor displays.
• Monitor inventory par levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Follow all Department of Health and company sanitation and safety standards.
• Attend pre-shift meetings, trainings, and team development sessions.
• Collaborate with coworkers and maintain a positive, professional attitude.

Who You Are

• Previous barback or hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or lounge is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic bar operations and beverage service standards.
• Able to stand, lift, bend, and move for extended periods (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working around cleaning materials and hot kitchen elements.
• Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
