Job summary

Goode Company in Houston is seeking a Barback to keep the bar stocked, clean, and ready for fast, welcoming service.

You will stock liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and garnishes; assist bartenders; maintain safety and inventory control; and support teams during busy shifts. This role requires physical stamina, dependable attendance, and adherence to alcohol handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Barback experience preferred.
• Urgency, organization, cleanliness, and situational awareness are required.
• Ability to follow alcohol handling, safety, and inventory-control procedures.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to perform physically active work.
• Food Handler and TABC Certification are expected.

Responsibilities

• Stock and replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
• Prepare the bar before service and complete assigned closing and cleaning work.
• Wash, polish, organize, and rotate glassware and bar tools safely.
• Monitor bar needs during service and respond quickly without disrupting guest interactions.
• Receive and store products using proper rotation, handling, and security procedures.
• Support bartenders, servers, and managers with teamwork and clear communication.
