Job summary

Gunstock Mountain Resort is seeking Barbacks for the upcoming winter season. The Barback assists bartenders by keeping bars clean and fully stocked to maximize beverage sales.

Responsibilities include handling requests, stocking, inventory counts, bussing areas, and washing glassware while upholding food safety and liquor guidelines during shifts and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to count and accurately make change involving large sums of money.
• Stand for long shifts with strong physical stamina and ability to lift.
• Technology aptitude for working with POS and digital register.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders and keep bars clean and stocked.
• Fill basic orders and relay significant requests to bartenders.
• Assist with inventory counts, bussing, and washing glassware.
• Ensure proper food handling and compliance with alcohol-service standards.

Job description

Gunstock is now hiring Barbacks for the upcoming winter season! The Barback primarily serves as the Bartender's assistant. The Barback will support operations by ensuring that the bars are clean and properly stocked so that shifts and events run smoothly and that beverage revenues are maximized.

The Barbacks will support bartenders by handling requests from customers and fellow servers by filling basic orders and informing the Bartenders of more significant requests. The Barback will continuously monitor assigned work areas and may be responsible for assisting with inventory counts, bussing bar area, and washing glassware in addition to ensuring that bars are continuously and fully stocked with appropriate drinkware and supplies.

The Barback will be knowledgeable of and responsible for upholding standards for proper food handling and sanitation, as well as local and state guidelines for responsible alcoholic beverage service.

Other requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to count and accurately make change involving large sums of money.
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift. Strong physical stamina and abillity to lift heavy objects.
• Technology aptitude for working with POS and digital register.
