An application made for this job — a tailored resume and cover letter that speak straight to the posting.
Colton’s Social House is seeking a Barback who will work alongside seasoned bartenders to keep the bar stocked, organized, and guest-ready. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, hospitality-focused team where urgency, attentiveness, and a welcoming attitude matter in every interaction.
Growth into a Bartender role is encouraged, with responsibility and beverage knowledge built through hands-on learning and feedback. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected as part of the role.
At Colton’s Social House, Social Therapy isn’t limited to the person taking the order or making the drink. It’s created through every interaction, every detail, and every person working together to make the experience better for our guests.
Our Barbacks are right in the middle of that experience. Working alongside our Bartenders, they keep the bar stocked and organized, wash glassware and dishes, clear and reset the bartop, help set guests up for service, and step in wherever support is needed. They also interact with guests throughout the shift—so being welcoming, attentive, aware, and ready to help matters just as much as working with urgency behind the bar.
Barback is also an opportunity to learn and grow. You’ll work alongside experienced Bartenders, become familiar with our specialty cocktails and rotating beer program, build your beverage knowledge, and learn the pace and standards of a busy full-service bar.
You may not be making the drinks yet, but you’re already part of what happens around them. That’s Social Therapy.

Barback is where we want inexperienced future Bartenders to start. Previous bartending experience is not required, but an interest in learning, taking feedback, and developing your skills matters.
Growth into a Bartender position is not automatic or guaranteed—it comes through demonstrated performance, beverage knowledge, consistency, and readiness. If bartending is where you eventually want to go, this is an opportunity to start building the foundation.
