POSITION SUMMARY
The Barback supports bartenders in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring bar areas are clean, well-stocked, and properly organized. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient bar operations and adheres to all health, safety, and labor compliance standards as defined by Arizona law.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old (in accordance with Arizona alcohol service laws). Prior barback, restaurant, or hospitality experience prefferred but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
EDUCATION
Possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred, but not required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations. Previous experience in customer service preferred, but not required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge or ability to be trained in point of sales system. Access to email service. Accommodations may be made.

Incumbent will be required to make change and maintain proper procedure regarding cash and credit transactions.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Employees will work both indoors and outdoors and at times in extreme weather conditions when reasonable.

EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Antelope Point Marina policy regarding employee performance evaluation. The employee understands that a 90 day performance evaluation will be conducted to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements. Should the employee not meet the performance standards of the position, APM management reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship or relocate the employee to another position within the company, if available.
