Job summary

Kimpton Overland Hotel in Atlanta, GA is seeking a barback to support bartenders and keep the bar area stocked and organized. You will assist with setup, cleanup, and routine service needs while ensuring a clean, well-stocked environment for guests.

The role requires reliability, physical stamina, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training on safety and proper beverage handling will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality is a plus but not required.
• Reliable, organized, and able to communicate respectfully with coworkers and guests.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must meet Georgia age and licensing requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other supplies.
• Keep the bar, storage areas, and service stations clean and organized.
• Wash and polish glassware and replenish it throughout service.
• Assist bartenders with setup, breakdown, and routine service needs.
• Remove empty kegs and assist with changing kegs, following safety procedures.
• Monitor inventory and let the manager know when supplies are running low.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, alcohol-service, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
