A vibrant hotel in Columbus is seeking a Bar Supervisor to manage daily operations of its rooftop and lobby bars. The ideal candidate will oversee staff, maintain high customer service levels, manage inventory, and uphold health and safety standards. This role involves creating an efficient bar environment with flexibility to handle busy shifts and customer needs.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bar Supervisor to assist in managing daily operations of our rooftop bar and lobby bar. The ideal candidate will oversee staff, ensure high levels of customer service, maintain inventory, and support the bar team in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. Responsibilities: • Supervise and support bartenders and bar staff during shifts. • Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service and resolve customer issues promptly. • Open and close the bar, including cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting. • Assist in inventory management, stock ordering, and supplier coordination. • Monitor staff performance and provide training or feedback as needed. • Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, including alcohol service laws. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area. • Create and maintain staff schedules in coordination with management. • Collaborate with the management team to improve service, sales, and customer experience. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a bartender; previous supervisory experience preferred. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and bar operations. • Ability to handle high-pressure environments and busy shifts. • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Certification in Responsible Alcohol Service (e.g., TIPS, RBS) is an asset. Compensation: $17 - $19 hourly
