Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a part-time Upper Bar - Bar Back to stock and prep before and during service at our Milwaukee property. This role supports bartenders by keeping garnishes, fruits, and juices ready and ensuring supplies are maintained throughout the shift.

The position requires knowledge of liquor regulations, basic math for portions and inventory, and the ability to lift up to 200 lbs as needed. Strong English communication and safety understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of preparing alcoholic beverages and liquor regulations applicable to service.
• Basic math skills to ensure proper deliveries, portions, and inventory.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, knives, and kegs.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English for service.
• Ability to read and follow safe-handling instructions for products and equipment.
• Ability to lift/move up to 200 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare perishable garnishes, fruits, and juices according to business levels.
• Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the bar and bartenders.
• Retrieve and verify orders from storeroom for accuracy.
• Store products properly and in designated areas.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards in bar areas.
• Scoop and transport ice to service areas.
• Wash dishes and redistribute to appropriate areas as needed.
• Assist with additional duties as requested by management.
