Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a bartender at Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph to provide warm, attentive guest service and expert beverage preparation. You’ll set up and maintain the bar, prepare cocktails to hotel standards, and ensure prompt, courteous service while complying with liquor laws and safety policies.

Role requires strong communication, the ability to multitask, and consistent professionalism. Expect long hours and flexible scheduling aligned with hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during service.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to standards.
• Serve guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Follow state liquor laws and hotel safety rules.
• Keep bar and service areas clean and organized during service.
• Respond to guests’ problems, complaints and accidents as needed.
