Job summary

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation in Kentucky is seeking a bartender to join our resort team. Arrive on time with a neat appearance, greet guests with a smile, and engage in appropriate conversations while performing duties.

You will maintain bar areas including decks and patios, understand state laws on beer, wine, and liquor, card patrons under 30, and cut off intoxicated guests. You will help stock the bar and participate in safety meetings and team goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Maintain cleanliness of bar areas including decks & patios.
• Understand basic knowledge of state laws & regulations regarding beer, wine, & liquor. Responsible for carding anyone who looks under 30 years of age.
• Responsible for cutting off alcohol to anyone who becomes intoxicated.
• Help keep bar stocked.
• Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
• Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by the Bar Manager.
• Implement elements of operation plan that apply to the bar as per manager’s instructions.
