Job summary

Elston Electric is seeking a Bar & Operations Manager to oversee all bar operations, combining hospitality with financial acumen. You will lead a talented team, ensure service excellence, and drive profitability while maintaining brand standards across Chicago venues.

Responsibilities include daily operations, recruitment and training, inventory control, and adherence to SOPs, health and safety. A culture of warmth and inclusivity is central to the role and company values.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven success in a managerial or lead role within bar/restaurant industry.
• Genuine passion for warm service and creating memorable experiences for customers and team members.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership including mentoring team members and fostering a positive workplace culture.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness, organization, and health/safety standards.
• Knowledge of beverage trends (wines, spirits, beers, cocktails, non-alcoholic options).
• Understanding of beverage costing, pricing strategies, and inventory management principles.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and prioritize daily operations to exceed guest expectations for product and service.
• Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and development of a talented team that upholds a warm, inclusive culture.
• Ensure budgets, KPIs, and labor efficiency align with company goals and seasonal changes.
• Coordinate with kitchen and vendors to maintain strong front/back of house communication.
• Ensure SOPs for quality control, efficiency, and health and safety standards are followed.
