Job summary

Hyatt is seeking a Bar Manager to lead the bar outlet in line with brand standards, driving profitability and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment. You will train servers and bartenders on procedures and new cocktails, craft seasonal menus, and perform monthly inventories with strict controls.

Manage the bar as a profit center within budget, communicate clearly, and respond to guest needs with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Ideally a degree or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
• Prior 5* international hotel hospitality and/ or luxury standalone restaurant experience is essential.
• Advanced knowledge of bar operations.
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• Should possess strong food and beverage knowledge including modern bar and drink trends.
• Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits, beers and cocktails.
• Local language proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train servers and new bartenders on proper bar procedures, new spirits and cocktails.
• Create and follow recipes using proper and contemporary techniques.
• Craft and create seasonal cocktail menus, and meet specific deadlines based on the role.
• Perform monthly inventories of liquor, beer, wine, and supplies, implement and maintain controls for accurate inventory accountability.
• Proactive; exercises good judgment; can creatively problem solve and anticipate needs of guests; pay attention to detail with a focus on quality and service.
• A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment.
