Job summary

HRI Hospitality in Richmond, VA is seeking a Beverage Server to greet guests, take drink orders, and deliver beverages in the bar, lounge, or restaurant areas.

Responsibilities include providing menu knowledge, opening tabs, processing payments, and following responsible service guidelines while maintaining a clean, stocked service area. Previous restaurant or hospitality serving experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to carry trays and serve beverages safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and basic cocktail preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take drink orders, and deliver beverages promptly.
• Provide menu knowledge and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Open tabs, process payments, and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, tables, and stations.
• Restock glassware, garnishes, service trays, and beverage supplies as needed.
• Assist bartenders with preparing garnishes or simple beverage items when required.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management of issues as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
