Job summary

Great Park Live in Irvine, CA is seeking a part-time bartender to deliver friendly service at events and venues. You will take drink orders, upsell specials, check IDs, and maintain a clean bar area.

You must be at least 21, have RBS and Food Handler certifications, and be comfortable working nights and weekends in a fast-paced setting. Tips are provided in addition to hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 1 year customer service or sales experience strongly preferred.
• RBS Certification and Food Handlers Card (FHC) required.
• No previous bartending experience required.
• Physical stamina: stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays for events.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests, taking drink orders and suggesting beverages.
• Process payments accurately using cash registers and POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, restocking supplies and garnishes.
• Check IDs to verify ages and refuse service to underage or intoxicated patrons.
• Monitor for signs of intoxication and responsibly cut off service when needed.
• Upsell higher-priced drinks, specials, or promotional cocktails to increase revenue.

Job Location: Irvine, CA 92618, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $16.90 - $16.90 Hourly, Job Duties

• Interact with guests regularly, taking drink orders, suggesting beverages, and engaging in friendly conversation. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
• Proficient in processing payments accurately, using cash registers, POS systems and handling change.
• You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. This includes restocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and ensuring that the bar is well‑stocked with ingredients and garnishes.
• You must be knowledgeable about local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol. You will be responsible for checking IDs to verify customers' ages and refuse service to those who are underage or intoxicated.
• Monitor customers for signs of intoxication and handle such situations appropriately, including cutting off service when necessary and reporting to management. Responsible alcohol service is crucial to ensure the safety and well‑being of all guests
• You may be expected to upsell higher‑priced drinks, specials, or promotional cocktails to increase revenue for the event
• Must have a good understanding of different types of alcoholic beverages, beers, wines, and mixers and be able to pass this knowledge to customers and make recommendations.
• Be able to work in fast‑paced environments, to ensure all customers receive prompt and efficient service.
• Must follow proper hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and to avoid potential accidents.
