Job Description

The Department at Hudson's Detroit is seeking experienced Part-Time or Full-Time Bar Captains who are committed to excellent customer service, professionalism, and quality. Ideal candidates thrive in collaborative environments, excel at building relationships, and communicate openly. Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in punctuality, appearance, and work quality
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to review event details
  • Oversee bar setup and ensure readiness for service
  • Review BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) regularly
  • Manage bar inventory, including products and glassware
  • Demonstrate signature cocktails and oversee beverage stations
  • Follow directions from management and create a welcoming environment
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Assist in dinner service and support team members
  • Uphold positive attitude and high standards to enhance guest experience
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years bartending experience
  • Knowledge of bar techniques, equipment, and food safety
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to describe and serve a wide range of beverages
  • Optional: TIPS certification or willingness to obtain it
