Job summary

Tindall Corporation in the Southeast operates a leading precast concrete plant and offers a hands-on material handling role in the steel shop. You will move, cut, and prepare rebar, flat stock, and mesh, supporting production schedules and ensuring safe work practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and can follow shop cards and instructions, with an emphasis on reliability and teamwork. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Move material from storage racks to rollers or shake-out table with overhead crane.
• Set jig to required length.
• Hand feed material into iron worker.
• Shear and/or punch holes in flat stock, angle, wire mesh, coil rod, and rebar.
• Stack material on pallets or material buggy for different jobs or pours and mark accordingly.
• Assist in unloading incoming trucks of material for steel shop.
• Clean and keep safe work area including sweeping floor, dispose of scrap metal.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Summary of Primary Functions:

Place different types of rebar, flat stock, angle, wire mesh, coil rod, and channel on rollers and cut them to the prescribed lengths and/or punch holes in them as required by shop card. Assist in unloading incoming trucks of material for steel shop.
