Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Bar Back to support the Bar team. Responsibilities include garnishing, stocking, order verification, and maintaining bar cleanliness, with flexibility for additional duties as directed by management.

Prior bar experience is preferred, along with knowledge of alcohol preparation and regulations. English communication and physical capability to lift up to 200 lbs are required to ensure smooth service for guests and bartenders.

Qualifications

• Transport and maintain portable bars and tap units.

What will you be doing?

What we are looking for:

• Prior bar experience preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable in preparation of alcoholic beverages including adhering to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by bartenders, managers and guests.
• Ability to read and comprehend safe-handling instructions of products and equipment.
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
