Job summary

Makeready LLC is seeking a Bar Back for Frannie & The Fox in Emeline, Charleston, SC. You will stock, clean, and organize the bar, ensuring glassware, ingredients, and supplies are ready for service.

You will work closely with bartenders to maintain an efficient, welcoming bar area, support guests with timely service, and uphold our standards of quality and teamwork on a fast-paced shift. Experience is preferred; candidates should be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a bar back is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of bar operations and equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Eyes on critical items: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, glassware, bar top cleanliness.
• Anticipate stock needs during shifts before running out.
• Troubleshoot bar equipment during shift (CO2, dishwasher, beer keys).
• Maintain bar cleanliness at bar top, back area, waste bins and floors.
• Know menu and beverage offerings; uphold brand standards of quality.
• Demonstrated proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Frannie & the Fox is clever, comfortable, and cool. Emeline's three meal a day experience that comes in the form of a 'foodie' but never pretentious.

Seeking the silent hero: the individual who understands that behind every glass of cabernet or craft cocktail is the attention to detail that makes an experience truly memorable. Spotless glasses, fresh ingredients, and bottles at the ready don't happen by accident. A bar back efficiently stocks, cleans, and organizes the bar while communicating and working seamlessly with the bartenders.

Requested Tasks

• Eyes are always on the critical 6: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, glassware, bar top cleanliness
• Anticipate items to stock during shift - prior to running out
• Understand bar equipment and how to troubleshoot problems during shift (Low CO2 in tap lines, dishwasher cycling, changing beer keys, etc.)
• Maintain bar cleanliness from all angles - the bar top where guests are seated, the bar back where spirits, glassware, supplies are located, waste bins, and floors
• Thorough knowledge of menu and beverage offerings and supporting knowledge of brand vision and standards of quality
• Prior experience highly preferred
• A proactive and detailed demeanor
