Job summary

Levy Restaurants at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Bar Back to support bartenders and ensure fast, friendly service to guests throughout events. You will assist with restocking, setup, and cleanliness while maintaining bar appearance and safety standards.

You will help guests with requests, describe offerings, and help manage inventory and proper cash handling per guidelines. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess required certifications to do so.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with managers, guests, and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Completes steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction at the bar.
• Describes menu offerings, packaging, and pricing as needed.
• Responds to guest requests and clears plates/glassware at the bar.
• Keeps bar area clean, stocked, and organized; assists with setup and breakdown.
• Adheres to appearance guidelines and safety/sanitation practices.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Service

• Completes steps of service to ensure utmost guest satisfaction
• Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation, and pricing
• Responds to guest needs and requests
• Performs important guest service functions including, among other things: clearing empty plates and glassware, wiping down the bar, and setting up for dining at the bar
• Adheres to location appearance guidelines
• Acts with a sense of urgency and provides friendly, efficient service to teammates and guests

Controls

• Maintains service areas
• Adheres to Levy Restaurants Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook
• Communicates guest issues to management
• Follows cash handling and tip reporting guidelines
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices
• Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment
• Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities

Team

• Displays a positive attitude toward teammates and managers
• Helps fellow team members whenever necessary
• Always on time and ready to perform all required duties

Job Requirements

• Lifts and transports up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends, and cleans to maintain the service area
• Walks and stands during the entire shift
• Able to communicate effectively with managers, guests, and teammates by speaking and comprehending English
• Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts, and strains
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess any required certifications to do so
