Madero Cantina in Historic Downtown Fullerton is seeking energetic Bar Backs to support bartenders and keep the bar stocked and organized. You will restock liquor and supplies, perform opening and closing duties, and help ensure a smooth, high‑quality guest experience.

The position requires 21+ and legal work status in the U.S., plus ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand all shift. Prior restaurant or bar experience and certifications like ABC RBS and California Food Handler are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and be 21+ years old.
• Requires ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Previous restaurant or bar experience preferred.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Restock liquor, beer, juices, and bar supplies; keep liquor rooms and beer coolers clean and stocked.
• Complete opening duties to ensure the bar is fully set up for service; complete closing duties and side work.
• Support bartenders by keeping wells stocked and replenishing supplies during service; ensure keg connections are maintained.

Bar Backs are essential to keeping the bar running smoothly by staying organized, anticipating needs, and ensuring bartenders have everything they need to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

The Role

• Restock liquor, beer, juices, and bar supplies; keep liquor rooms and beer coolers clean, organized, and stocked
• Complete opening duties to ensure the bar is fully set up and ready for service
• Complete side work and closing duties, including cleaning the bar area, restocking glassware, and preparing for the next shift
• Support bartenders by keeping wells stocked, ensuring kegs are connected and functioning, and replenishing supplies throughout service
• Change kegs and assist with inventory organization as needed
• Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines

Requirements And Skills
