LBA Hospitality is seeking a Bar Back in Chattanooga, TN to stock and maintain supplies, support bartenders, and keep the outlet guest-ready. This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to work evenings at our rooftop/bar environment.

The position includes duties such as stocking, cleaning, and assisting with happy hour setups, with potential advancement to bartender or server roles. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

  • One year experience in a food and beverage position.
  • Experience with chain food and retail outlet preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handling and Alcohol Safety certifications preferred

  • Stock liquor, beer, wine.
  • Cleans beverage equipment, glasses and service areas.
  • Prepare and maintain happy hour buffets and supplies.
  • Maintain a guest-ready working area and supplies, including trash disposal.
  • Stand for long periods and assist guests with friendly service.

Wednesday through Saturday night (evening/late night schedule for rooftop bar).
Prerequisites
  • One year experience in a food and beverage position.
  • Experience with chain food and retail outlet preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handling and Alcohol Safety certifications preferred
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
  • Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach.
  • Must be able to see and hear
  • Must be able to communicate with other associates and/or guests.
Knowledge
  • Standards of operation as required by The Company and brand.
  • Area shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions to assist guest inquiries.
  • Daily hotel operations, check daily events, bulletin boards and be up to date on changes, new procedures and events.

  • Work as a team member in aspects such as: cleaning, side work, food preparations and storage.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Stock liquor, beer, wine
  • Cleans beverage equipment, glasses and service areas
  • Prep, set up, replenish and maintain “happy hour” buffets, if applicable
  • Prepare and consistently maintain working area and supplies in a guest ready atmosphere, including emptying trash.
  • Maintain safety and security practices, have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality product and service
  • Other duties as assigned, that the associate is capable of performing.
  • Working Conditions/Special Requirements
  • This position requires a physical presence at the hotel and is not conducive of telecommuting or remote work.
  • Standing, walking for long periods of time while maintaining a friendly professional image.
  • May be required to work any day/shift, including weekends.
