Join to apply for the Bar Back role at Atlas Restaurant Group

The Bar Assistant will assist in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well-stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, and all other necessities, and supporting the Bartender to ensure smooth operations. The Bar Assistant should be knowledgeable about menu items, attentive, and focused on providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring availability of clean towels and glassware for Bartenders.
2. Ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
3. Check taps and appliances, perform minor repairs, or change kegs as needed.
4. Maintain cleanliness by wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash.
5. Perform bussing duties such as clearing cups and trash from bar top and tables.
6. Learn menu items and cocktail recipes; assist bartender while learning to operate the POS system.
7. Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience.
• Meet state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol.
• Dependability, responsibility, and reliability.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player mindset.
• Strong task and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and understanding of drink mixing tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Maintain composure and control emotions in difficult situations.

Compensation & Benefits:

Maryland: $3.63 - 7.00/hr plus tips
Pennsylvania: $5.00 - 5.50/hr plus tips
Delaware: $13.25 - 14.00/hr
Florida: $9.98/hr plus tips
Texas: $5.00 - 5.50/hr plus tips
