Bar Back:

The Bar Back is to assist the bar staff by helping maintain the cleanliness and stocking of the bar area. Although not directly in contact with guests, a Bar Back must maintain a friendly demeanor while providing support to bar staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Restock glassware, fruit garnishes, bar mixes, cleaning supplies, napkins, and straws
2. Keep ice bins full at all times
3. Clean and put away glassware throughout the shift
4. Maintain all bottled beer, kegs, liquor, and wine pars during and after shift
5. Responsible for breakdown of bar area during close
6. Assist in cleanliness and organization of all bar area and bar storage
7. Assist in bar rotations and bar inventories
8. Perform all assigned side work and cleaning duties
9. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols
10. Dispose of all trash behind the bar during and after shift
11. Keep bar area clean and sanitized at all times
12. Perform all steps of service when interacting with guests
13. Maintain performance standards and motivate team through positive role modeling
14. Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time

Position Qualifications:

1. This position will spend 100% of the time standing
2. Will adhere to restaurant uniform policy at all times
3. Able to report to work as scheduled
4. Subject to noisy and distracting conditions
5. Occasional environmental exposures to heat and cold
6. Must be able to transport up to 80 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
7. Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes
8. Frequently immerses hands in water
