Job summary

Rio Las Vegas is seeking an Apprentice Bartender to assist the Bartender by stocking, keeping the bar area clean, and providing excellent service to guests. You will handle drink preparation, guest interaction, and basic transactions while maintaining SNHD-compliant standards.

You will learn beverage service, garnishes, and bar operations with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and professional presentation in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Must present a neat and professional appearance.
• Six months of Bartender or Bar Apprentice experience.
• At least one year in a money handling position.
• Ability to interact with customers and coworkers; teamwork required.
• Able to count money accurately and provide change.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Adhere to all company policies and laws.
• Must qualify for licenses such as TAM card, health card, non-gaming card.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the bar and engage in conversation.
• Clean and stock the bar area, including tops, sinks, glasses, and appliances.
• Prepare and pour all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers as requested.
• Process room charges, card and cash transactions, and present receipts.
• Ensure ashtrays, bar tops, stools and menus are clean and organized.
• Prepare garnishes and cut fruits for drinks.
• Maintain a clean work area per SNHD guidelines.
• Maintain par levels by placing orders when needed.
• Replace bibs and keep the bar area tidy.
• Ensure the glasswasher and dishwashing station operate properly.
• Maintain soap and towels at hand sinks.
• Monitor service to ensure timely beverage delivery.
• Call a designated slot employee when needed.
• Collect trash and wipe down walls behind the bar.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
