Job summary

Hyatt Regency Louisville is seeking a Banquets Manager to orchestrate memorable events with flawless guest service and cost control. You’ll lead the banquet team, hire and train staff, and ensure every function aligns with brand standards and safety guidelines.

You will manage events from setup to cleanup, maintaining sharp appearance and professional conduct, while keeping certifications current and staff motivated for peak performance. This role is based on-site in Louisville.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in hotel or related experience; supervisory experience required.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems.
• Strong communication skills and clear listening.
• Problem solving under pressure with fast decisions.
• Ability to analyze complex information and act decisively.
• Comfortable with basic arithmetic and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest-focused service and coordinate banquet events end-to-end.
• Lead and coach the banquet team; hire, train, and motivate staff.
• Maintain brand standards, attire, and professional appearance.
• Follow Aimbridge Hospitality safety guidelines and regulations.
• Ensure certifications (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid) are current.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of progressive hotel or related experience; supervisory experience required
• Proficient in Windows operating systems
• Strong communication skills; able to convey information clearly and listen effectively to coworkers and guests
• Skilled at problem-solving, including anticipating, identifying, and resolving workplace issues under pressure
• Capable of assimilating and analyzing complex information from multiple sources and making quick, accurate decisions
• Comfortable working with financial data and performing basic arithmetic functions
