Job summary

Appellation Lodi – Wine & Roses Resort and Spa is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Banquet Department and craft exceptional guest experiences. This hands-on leader will build strong teams, develop talent, and ensure every event reflects our standard of excellence.

You will plan and execute events, manage departmental budgets, and foster lasting relationships with guests and colleagues while maintaining a positive, professional, team-oriented

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Banquet Management experience in luxury hotel setting preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team development skills.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control knowledge.
• Solid organizational and time-management abilities.
• Deep knowledge of food and wine service and guest expectations.
• Proficiency with administrative computer systems and basic accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Banquet Department including scheduling, payroll, inventory, linen control, vendor coordination, and guest experience.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Culinary to plan events and ensure staffing, room setups, and equipment readiness.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop banquet staff and captains; provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Develop training programs to elevate team knowledge, service standards, and performance.
• Manage event execution from preparation to breakdown, ensuring all details meet standards.
• Oversee room setups, event turns, F&B service, and bar operations with proper equipment handling and storage.
• Build strong relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and other departments through clear communication.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address feedback with thoughtful, timely solutions.
